Melissa Duong | Associate Vice President, Capital Choice Pathology Laboratory

Melissa joined Adventist HealthCare in 2026 with over 10 years' experience in pathology, laboratory operations and research. She served the last 3 years as Associate Director of Anatomic Pathology at Penn Medicine Chester County Hospital, responsible for lab operations, process improvement, budgeting, employee engagement, and quality metrics. She previously worked as process excellence lead at HNL Lab Medicine, and pathologists' assistant at Penn Medicine Princeton Health.

Melissa completed her MS as a Pathologists' Assistant and BS in Biology with Philosophy minor at Drexel University, MBA with Healthcare Management concentration at Gwynedd Mercy University, Business of Healthcare certificate from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and Certified Six Sigma Green Belt from the American Society for Quality. She was recognized on The Pathologist Power List 2025 and volunteers in executive roles at local and national organizations, including AAPA, ASQ, and RSVP Volunteers.

Senda Beltaifa, MD | Medical Director

Dr. Beltaifa is certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical pathology. She earned her Medical Degree from the “Faculté de Medecine de Sousse, University of Tunisia” and completed her pathology training at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. including a fellowship in Surgical Pathology. A Fellow of the College of American Pathologists (FCAP), Dr. Beltaifa also holds a CAP Certification in Multidisciplinary Breast Pathology. She has worked as a general practitioner overseas and a research scientist in various areas of molecular biology at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda. Dr. Beltaifa has several publications in highly regarded science journals, has presented at various science meetings, and is proficient in three languages. Bringing clinical expertise, combined with outstanding credentials and skills, Dr. Beltaifa centers her work around excellent patient care, continuous improvement to the laboratory and excellent service to our clinicians and patients.
